What is the most rewarding part of your career as a language teacher? Seeing and hearing students become proficient in the French Language: watching students realize they are ‘reading an entire paragraph’ for the first time in a foreign language is magical and when they understand the words to a current, hip, modern French song I literally see a switch ‘turn on’. All of this is awesome and a total privilege to witness! What is one personal or professional goal that you have for yourself, your school or your department? Increase significantly student interest/success in foreign languages. What is one of your favorite travel experiences? The next trip I will take. Do you have any advice for other world language teachers? Support one another, encourage one another, focus on your joy and fun in teaching and learning everyday and over time - that vibe WILL spill over onto each and every student. Thank you MALT for giving us a group!
